Thunderstorm and flooding destruction in Bois-Guillaume, France

Torrential rains led to severe flooding in the northern French city of Rouen, which sits on the River Seine. The storm on June 4 caused a flash flood that quickly overtook the district. While the river does spill over its banks from time to time, this is reportedly the first time such heavy rains have directly flooded the Bois-Guillaume district of Rouen. The floodwaters quickly engulfed the Chemin de Clres, a winding road, and submerged businesses and residences in the area. Twitter user Laura Lefebvre shared a video of her flooded office, noting that the whole health center where I work was drowned under a meter of water destroying all the furniture [and] several walls.
