@westcoastjoseph posted and filmed the footage /// This is one resident’s view of the quick-moving wildfire close to Laguna Beach which destroyed 20 homes and led to hundreds of evacuations. Twitter user @westcoastjoesph captured the scene from the Pacific Coast Highway on a n evening run Wednesday. The fire broke out on Wednesday May 11 between Laguna Niguel and Laguna Beach, and burned through brush in the Alisa Wood Canyon, growing to an estimated 200 acres in size. Strong winds blowing off the Pacific have fanned the flames of the wildfire, which was not contained by Thursday morning. Among the destroyed homes was a $10 million mansion. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
