Green pollen haze settled over Hudson, MA

Published

on

Video shows a thick, yellow haze over Hudson, Mass., as a cloud of pollen engulfed the region. The eastern half of the state was blanketed in the allergy-inducing plant cells on Tuesday when the pollen cloud rode in on a cold front from Maine, according to meteorologists. Rain Tuesday night and into Wednesday is expected to bring down pollen levels Wednesday and Thursday. Pollen is a powdery substance produced by flowering plants in order to reproduce. Trees, grasses and other plants produce large amounts of pollen in the spring.
