@awakeford posted & shot the footage /// This was the scene as flood waters almost completely engulfed a road south of Webster, North Dakota, an area hit by two weeks of flooding. Andy Wakeford, a student advisor at Lake Region State College, filmed the flooding on Sunday May 8. The footage was shot on ND20 a mile south of Webster on a family trip. The water has receded slightly and is no longer over the road but remains close to it, and has done for the last two weeks. Flooding in the north-east of North Dakota has been severe this year, caused by rapid snow melt and above-average rainfall. The governor has declared a statewide emergency and neighboring Minnesota has contributed National Guard units to assist in dealing with the flooding.
